Stephen Van Elst is an internationally award-winning Immersive Experience Director with extensive industry experience, including London-based appointments with Fitch Worldwide and the Imagination Group where he led teams in London, New York and Detroit.

He returned to Australia in 2003 and worked as Creative Director for SEE agency and Spinifex Sydney across a variety of projects including the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Stephen joined Iloura (now Method Studios) in 2008 and was instrumental in reshaping the creative offering, as well as building Boffswana, the award-winning experiential technology division.

Having moved to Los Angeles in 2013 as ECD of Spinifex North America and later promoted to Chief Creative Officer in 2017. 

Stephen rejoined Imagination in 2019 as Global Creative Innovation Director and  leads his team with new and exciting opportunities in the exciting frontier of Experiential digital media.
